So i am now a second year photography student and i have to say its started off so well.
I have been opened up to a whole new way of thinking and approaching things.
We are given so much more time to think and expand our ideas. For the first time this year i actually want to pick up my camera......for a while there it wasn't satisfing as i was doing projects that had such a strict criteria and deadline that nothing i did was good enough in my own eyes.
Im taking art history and theory which i secretly love.....Being exposed to different art forms and movements really has opened my eyes and made me realise that there are endless possibilities. Also that i should break the rules that lay before me! Try something new and it might just be the starting point of something huge.
My creative switch is definitely turned on and ready to work again. THANK GOODNESS! I was getting worried that i would never be able to get into a creative rythem again.

So at the end of this week I will have completed my first year of my photography course...I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. I start my second and final year next week.
I have learnt so much this year and am feeling ready for the challenges that will come along with second year.
Will miss the classmates that are not going to carry on with the course, alot of laughs and memories shared and i will never forget them.
I am rather excited.....

I don't actually know if anybody reads what I have to say but i really hope that someone does for this entry because i need some help.
Ok so last night i had the greatest experience as a student photographer. Me and a couple of guys in my class got asked if we would like to attend a Fashion show run by BMW. So for me this was my first "Proper" Fashion show. I had gone to some that were run by my school for the students but nothing as big as this. I was kinda nervous and the whole thing seemed rather daunting at first.
It was all very exciting and once i got past how amazing the clothes were i actually managed to take some photos that i am quite proud of. Sure I can improve but its early days for me and work experience like this is just what i need. Hey everyone starts somewhere right...??
So i am currently uploading some of them and what i would really appreciate is if i could have some feedback on some editing ideas.....Im slowly learning but yeah some feedback and ideas would be great.
Fantastic night, currently suffering from my high heels that i was wearing but it was definitely worth it!
Looking forward to the weekend, hopefully get out and enjoy the New Zealand summer sunshine thats slowly creeping in.

I am addicted to deviant art.......I am sure that alot of you are but Im finding that im always on having a look or thinking about it......and I am very homesick for the first time since moving out of home. Im usually pretty tough but things have been poos lately and i really just want to go home. Ah i sound like such a baby lol nothing like venting to people i dont know.

I just wanted to thank anyone who has commented on my work, it really does mean alot when people appreciate something that I love. I am amazed at some of the comments and the talent that you all have. Keep up the great work because I love seeing it.
